Now might be a good time to let you in on a secret: we’re remodeling! Yup. We’re in the early stages- measuring, sketches, permits… but come November we’ll have to get into temporary housing because mama’s finally getting her upstairs master suite. Aw. yeah. We’re also pimping out everything else in the house- kitchen, bathrooms, windows and floors….
At least that’s the plan. I tend to get a little lost in the numbers. Let’s see how far we get with our budget. And then, you know me– I’ll DIY the rest.

In the book, the twins cover everything from how to decide whether to stay or move to making an offer on a house to selecting materials and finishing touches. They even discuss how to come up with a financial plan and meet your requirements without blowing your budget. Yeah, that’s required reading for me right there.
As soon as the girls saw Jonathan and Drew something truly bizarre happened… they got SHY!! Most kids get starstruck over YouTube stars and Disney characters but I think this speaks to how much time they’ve been spending with me this summer. And it speaks to how much time I’ve been spending watching HGTV.
