The other day we attended the LG Fam to Table event to celebrate the launch of their new Probake ovens. The event was hosted by Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria who has a new cookbook in stores– Eva’s Kitchen. The event also raised money for No Kid Hungry, which connects healthy meals to kids struggling with hunger.
Sporting a pristine white dress, because she can, Eva gave a Mexican wedding cookie demo. She asked Vivi to join her on stage to help her create dough balls which was adorable, because OMG my cookie up there making cookies…
It’s a miracle Eva’s dress remained clean. I can’t go five minutes in the kitchen without that kid getting fingerprints… everywhere.
Let me be clear– I do not work for LG, and they have not paid me to write nice things about them. So I am voluntarily speaking up today because there is much evidence pointing to the fact that LG’s new ranges can change lives.
Picture this: a warehouse jam-packed with families. Activity tables for the kids to make their own flatbread and decorate their own pizzas and cookies. And everything was cooked in front of our eyes in these LG Probake ovens.
Each guest made at least one pizza, and then the staff baked them and boxed them and called out our names so we could eat them and it was as if these ovens were industrial ovens at some high-traffic restaurant.
Some of these staff members might’ve been chefs, but for the most part they were people with little food training. Regular people, baking amazing pizzas. They had to bake hundreds of pizzas quickly and no one broke a sweat. They were all confident that the food would turn out great.
Friends. This is what I wanted to tell you about: Foolproof ovens for people like me.
If you know me, you also know I can’t wait till the day I can take a sledgehammer to my kitchen. My ovens are over 30 years old. Thanksgiving became a challenge when a gasket caught aflame in one of them— which we can’t replace because it’s so old they no longer make replacement parts for it. We’ve been living with one engine down for a few years now. If we were ready to do our remodel tomorrow, I would snag two of these LG ovens in a heartbeat. Just sayin’.
Watching and tasting hundreds of items baked in these bad boys speaks louder than any glossy brochure. If you or someone you love is looking for beautiful, reliable, and somewhat magical home ovens, please share my experience with them.
Then invite me over for dinner.
